Records.
Mixing has started on the second Black Serpent Choir album, ‘The Drowning of the Daisies’. I’ve been working on it on and off since the end of 2008 and it’s possibly the best record I’ve made thus far. I’ve also chosen ten songs to record for the next Martin Carr album which I will start recording as soon as I’ve worked out how I’m going to pay for it. Hopefully any proceeds from this will go towards recording and releasing another one this year. I’m also working on a couple of collaborative projects.
Live.
I’m playing at the Slaughtered Lamb in Clerkenwell on April 13th. This will be me and an acoustic guitar plus Barefoot Dance of The Sea, a three girl group from Cardiff. It will be LUSH. BDS are also the support, highly recommended if you enjoy stripped down instrumentation and folksome harmonies. You can listen to them here
More details soon..

Can’t wait; I seriously loved the first Black Serpent Choir album. Welcome back.

Martin -Happy to hear you are still giving it a go. Giant Steps has always been, and probably always remain, right up there with Revolver, Pet Sounds and Screamadelica in my opinion. It’s meant a great deal to me over the years, and I have blogged about it many, many MANY times and hopefully have turned a few people on to it’s sonic delights. Glad I found your site, will be exploring and supporting your solo efforts from this point forward. I’ll put a link or two on my blog for you as well.
Thanks again!
